First, arrange all your supplies ahead of time. Understand that you are trying to spend fun and memorable times together. You don’t wish to be running for paper towels, paint, water trays or other supplies; you want to be painting too! For the youngster it might be simply painting a variety of colors, but the teenagers should have some direction concerning “what” they should focus on. Adults may chose to all work on exactly the same project. I’ve found that watching how differently the “same” project turns out is merely amazing and fun.
Finally, don’t make rules. Let your family create whatever they want should they have come up with their own projects. If they thought we would follow a designated project then fine, if not then so be it. Usually do not get this to hobby about correct or incorrect.
